So how much weight are you using?
29:45 for my time, felt good again today, the heat really makes a difference. Righteouslyripped we used 95 lbs for guys / 65 for the girls for the thrusters and everything else was body weight. The girls used the bar for sitting military press for modified handstand pushups.
I cruised in at a leisurely 31:30. Yeah right, I was trying pretty damn hard, and I still sucked! It felt like trying to breath while someone duct taped a plastic bag over my head and then punched me repeatedly in the stomach to knock the wind out of me, while in a steam room. Otherwise it was great! What's up next? 3, 2, 1...I'm a wuss...GOOOOOO!!!
32:00 for my time, pretty good. I had to go down on some of my weights after the first round. I think the heat is like kryptonite, because I was dying. Anyone else have that problem?
I believe my time was 26:52. 65# thrusters, 45# modified HSPU. It seems like burpees have been getting harder, must be the heat. I think every single one was difficult!
so is welcometothegunshow on any performance enhancers? I only ask because of the disparity in time. He or she was nearly 3 minutes better then the next closest person.
The girls do modified handstand pushups and pullups. They also use less weight, that is why there times are faster.
Again I did my own thing.
1 Burpie 1 Swing @55lbs
2 Burpies 2 Swings
Ladder up to 10 each.
The workout did not last long but it was good. My goal was to get done under 5 minutes. I finished at 6:11. I have a lot of work to do to get under 5 miniutes. This workout is a challenge but was good. This S*@T sucks.....What time tomorrow. WE LOVE BURPIES!!!
In addition to what meeks said, there are a number of factors that contribute to time disparities, including: fitness level, individual strengths and weaknesses as they pertain to the work out of the day, etc. The scaling for women vs men is not to detract from the killer effort we see on everyones part that finishes the workout. its awesome to see your interest in the rogue fitness files, righteouslyripped. Keep posting if you have any other questions for us.
Here's my opinion...I think our scaled movements, such as modified HSPU's and pullups do make a difference in time, but I don't think our lighter weight loads necessarily factor into our times. We do lighter loads because we aren't as strong; but those weights are equally as difficult for us as the guys' are for them. I think the major factor in time is individual strengths and weaknesses as they pertain to the specific workout. For example, I usually excel at metcon workouts, while some others are better at moving heavier weight loads. But, for the record, NO performance enhancers for this girl!! haha
